Netscape Communicator 4.5 or greater
Please carefully read all instructions before proceeding to the next set of
instructions. Note that the information provided in each figure is for EXAMPLE
purposes only. The text you will need to change is marked in
red. Please change your settings according to the
written instructions.
- Open Netscape Communicator and select "Preferences..."from
the "Edit" menu.

- If there is a plus sign (+) to the left of "Mail & Newsgroups," please
click on the plus sign. It will then turn into a minus sign (-) and a list of
options will appear below. Click the "Identity" category and change
your "Email address."
Change the domain on your email address
From either: alias@centuryinter.net or alias@ptinet.net
To: alias@centurytel.net

- Click the "Mail Servers" category and change the "Outgoing Mail
(SMTP) server." You will find this server toward the middle of the page.
If you are in:
AR, LA, MS, TN or TX, use: mail.so.centurytel.net
MI or OH, use: mail.gl.centurytel.net
WI, use: mail.mw.centurytel.net
MT, WA or OR, use: mail.nw.centurytel.net

- On the same "Mail Server" category, click "Edit."

- Change the "Server Name."
If you are in:
AR, LA, MS, TN or TX, use: mail.so.centurytel.net
MI or OH, use: mail.gl.centurytel.net
WI, use: mail.mw.centurytel.net
MT, WA or OR, use: mail.nw.centurytel.net

- Click "OK" to save the changes.
- Click the "Newsgroup Servers" category. To change the "Newsgroup
servers" you must first "Delete" the current newsgroup server.

- Click "OK" to delete the "News Group" server.

- Once the server has been deleted, click "Add."

- Enter the proper "Server" name.

AR, LA, MS, TN or TX, use: news.so.centurytel.net
MI or OH, use: news.gl.centurytel.net
WI, use: news.mw.centurytel.net
MT, WA or OR, use: news.nw.centurytel.net

- Click OK to save the changes.
- Click "OK" again and you're done!
